The A&G ’12 Trackmania² Open


Animation and Gaming Ohio, the annual convention in Cincinnati, Ohio that I work with, has teamed up with sponsors Ubisoft, Intel, and DSGW.de to create the premier Trackmania² competition within the United States! However, this does not mean only U.S. residents can participate...

This competition is Worldwide. That's right if you can make it to Cincinnati, Ohio in March for the final, you can be crowned champion of the first ever "US Open" of Trackmania²: Canyon.


Competition Format/Timetable
*Prelims, January 21st, 8PM EST (UTC-5) (Online): This will be open to any person willing to enter into the tournament. All you will need to do is to fill out the entry form, submit it, and be on time to the competition server. This will be in rounds mode, to eliminate backmarkers, and to help seed the 16 semifinalists.

*Semifinals, February 4th (Online): The top 16 competitors from the preliminary round will compete in one of 2 semifinal sections. Cup mode will be used.

*LAN FINALS, March 10th: The top 4 competitors from each semifinal matchup (8 in total) will compete in a live, LAN Final on the A&G Ohio stage. All finalists will receive FREE entry to the convention space for the weekend. Cup mode will be used.
** Many more prizes will be announced within the coming days and weeks, and we have some great ones lined up already!

Prizes:
Intel will be supplying Core I7 processors for the Top 3 in the final. In addition, a much larger prize to be announced within the next couple weeks... stay tuned.

Ubisoft will also provide each finalist with t-shirts and a free copy of TM2 to give to a friend, girlfriend, grandmother.

Track packs containing the online competition tracks will be available 1 week before each round. More details regarding event times, and other related items will be made available very soon! In the mean time, start training and we’ll hope to see you in Cincinnati in March!

2012 is going to start with a true Trackmania-classic! The Tmnf 24h Race powered by Team ALTERNATE is going into the 6th round on January 7th! After the Registration was totaly overrun we decided to add 10 slots.

I would like to ask you if it would be possible to support Mobile Devices on this Forum, hence the use of TAPATALK (http://www.tapatalk.com). It is the leading Mobile-Forum-App which is for example for Android one of the most used Apps on the Market. Also for iPhone and other mobile Operating Systems.

Installation is very simple, doesn't even require editing the Forum Software in any way (didn't on vBulletin). MyBB is also supported.

Its free. The only thing that cost roughly 2,- Euro is the Mobile App for the Phones/Tablets but first of, thats not expensive and worth every penny. And those that don't do mobile Internet at all but just on their PC don't have any disadvantage with this supported here.

MLC- Manialink Converter
This little tool can convert your old manialink code to new TM manialink code - and vice versa!

With the introduction of "manialink version 1", the old "manialink version 0" is outdated, you should use the version 1 if you produce manialinks for TM2.

What has changed ?
Along some rather minor changes, the sizen and posn values are different now. These values have to be re-calculated and that's what the new tool does. It also replaces the version number value in the file, if required!
But this tool can also convert v.1 to v.0, especially useful if you want to quickly develop manialinks for both, TM United and TM2 at the same time.
